What is the difference between Luminary™ and gel nails?

The Luminary Nail System is a multi-flex gel that combines the strength of acrylic with the flexibility of hard gel to create long-lasting manicures. The add-on is ideal for growing natural nails because it is a universal base that allows technicians to create beautifully structured manicures with only one product.

How Long Does Luminary™ Gel Last?

Can you put another brand of gel polish over Luminary™?

Absolutely! Most gel colour brands are compatible Luminary. After our Multi-Flex gel has cured, DO NOT remove the sticky layer; instead, apply gel colour and cure. Add a coat of "Commit" over the filed dry nail before adding colour if you're doing an overlay.

How To Use Luminary™ Nail System?

Before applying Luminary Nail Systems, we recommend watching a tutorial on how to properly apply it. Although it is similar to a traditional gel polish, the application process is slightly different. The first step is two apply the primer, "Commit" over dry and filed nails. The first coat or the base should be applied very thinly and similarly to a traditional polish then cured, any of Luminary's colours will work for this. The next step is to apply a second thin layer (slip layer) without curing it and follow it with a dollop of product. You'll want to melt this layer into the slip layer using slow windshield washer motions. This will create a smooth, even layer of gel over the nail. You'll want to make sure the gel is level before curing each nail. Use a similar method for applying "Empower" the top coat.
