A shorter, more rounded blade is ideal for getting into smaller, more restricted areas of the face. In addition, the round (bull nose) tip prevents accidental snagging or scratching, thus providing a more effective and consistent finish. Dermaplaning can be performed on small areas of skin or the entire face and can be used alone or in conjunction with other procedures such as a chemical peel, microdermabrasion, or pulsed fluorescent light (FPL).

10R blades are the most popular choice for exfoliating the skin and removing fine vellus hair, often referred to as 'peach fuzz'. To use these blades, start by cleaning and drying your skin thoroughly. Hold the blade at a 45-degree angle and gently glide it across your skin, using short, feathery strokes. Be sure to avoid sensitive areas such as the eyes and lips. After dermaplaning, apply a soothing moisturizer to hydrate and calm the skin. Remember to always use a new, sterile blade for each dermaplaning session to maintain hygiene and effectiveness. The blades fit Handles 3, 3L, 3 Graduated, 5B, 7, 9, and B3.


1. Prepare the Skin: Cleanse and prepare the skin thoroughly before dermaplaning. Remove any makeup, oils, or debris to ensure a clean surface for the procedure.
2. Angle and Pressure: Hold the 10R blade at a 45-degree angle against the skin. Use gentle and controlled pressure to glide the blade across the skin, removing the vellus hair and dead skin cells. Avoid applying excessive pressure to prevent skin irritation or injury.
3. Direction: Always dermaplane in the direction of hair growth. This helps to achieve smoother results and minimize the risk of ingrown hairs.
4. Stretch the Skin: To create a taut surface, gently stretch the skin with your free hand while dermaplaning. This helps to provide a smoother glide and enhances precision.
5. Short Strokes: Use short, light strokes while dermaplaning. Avoid long strokes to maintain control and prevent accidental nicks or cuts.
6. Gradual Pressure: Apply gradual pressure with the 10R blade. Start with a light touch and increase the pressure slightly as you become more comfortable with the technique.
7. Clean the Blade: After each stroke, wipe the 10R blade clean with a sterile cotton pad or gauze. This helps to remove any buildup of removed hair or debris and ensures a smooth and effective dermaplaning process.
8. Hydrate and Protect: After dermaplaning, apply a soothing and hydrating serum or moisturizer to the treated skin. This helps to nourish and protect the skin barrier, promoting optimal healing and rejuvenation.
9. Dispose of Used Blades Safely: Once you have completed the dermaplaning session, safely dispose of the used 10R Swann Norton blades in a sharps container or a designated puncture-proof container. Follow proper disposal guidelines to ensure safety.

We print the shipping label exactly as it is entered on the website. If an incorrect shipping address is provided or if no special instructions are provided (e.g., buzzer number), the client is responsible for covering any additional shipping costs. Please make sure to have items delivered to a location where you can personally receive the package.

SHIPPING COSTS

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. Our shipping carriers automatically calculate shipping charges based on the weight of your package. Please note that shipping times provided are estimates and do not include processing time.

Customs, Duties and Taxes: USA ONLY

We are not responsible for any additional customs charges or fees once your package has left our facility. Customs charges and fees are the sole responsibility of the purchaser. If you are unfamiliar with customs fees and charges, please contact your local postal or customs office for more information.

If customs fees and charges are refused at the time of delivery, your order will be returned and you will not receive a refund for shipment costs. Customers have up to 90 days from the date of the order to claim their package as lost in order to receive any sort of compensation.

If you wish to order an out-of-stock product, please let us know and we will contact you as soon as it becomes available.

RETURNS + EXCHANGES

At Van Isle Beauty Co., we strive to provide high-quality products and services at reasonable prices, delivered in a timely manner. Due to hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns on opened products.

Returns and exchanges are accepted within SEVEN (7) days for unopened, sealed, resell-able products. Products without a seal will not be refunded or exchanged to ensure they have not been tampered with. In the event of a refund or exchange, the buyer will be credited the purchase price, minus shipping cost. 

Eg products that can not be exchanged for sanitary circumstances are:

  • Professional Beauty supplies like solutions, lash glues or liquids, nail polishes, aftercare products, wax solutions. Basically anything liquid or opened or unsealed boxes.
  • skincare, makeup, aftercare products that do not have a seal
  • jewellery, intimates or swimsuits
  • Professional liquid products for services that do not have a seal

Return shipping labels are not provided by Van Isle Beauty Co., and we recommend using insured and tracked shipping methods. The sender is responsible for all shipping expenses. Exchanged items must be of equal or lesser value; no refunds will be issued.

LOST OR STOLEN PACKAGES

Van Isle Beauty Co. is not responsible for lost or stolen orders. We will open up a missing package investigation with the carrier on your behalf and hopefully they can retrieve your package. We send out our tracking information when the package has been shipped so that you can be available to receive the packages.

CANCELLING AN ORDER 

If you would like to cancel or change an order that you've just placed, please email us at Contact@vanislebeautyco as soon as possible. We will try to accommodate your request; however, orders for items that have already been processed, packaged or shipped cannot be cancelled.

WHOLESALE ORDERS, TRAINING COURSES & SALE ITEMS -

Wholesale Orders are FINAL SALE. 

Training Courses can not be refunded, however, we are willing to reschedule the student for the next course if we are given 2 weeks notice from the course date if the student cannot attend. If the student cancels within the 2 week period then a $200 rescheduling fee will be charged to the next course date.

Items that are discontinued or on SALE are also FINAL sale.
