PüRE Luma™ UV/LED Lash Systems — Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is the difference between the SOLA and LUMINA UV/LED Lash Systems?
1. What is the difference between the SOLA and LUMINA UV/LED Lash Systems?
Both PüRE Luma™ systems use light-activated technology to cure compatible professional lash extension adhesives.
SOLA is our adjustable floor-standing light system, featuring interchangeable Aura 395 nm UV and Halo 405 nm LED light heads. It offers flexible positioning and hands-free foot pedal activation.
LUMINA is our compact, tweezer-mounted light system, designed for precise curing directly at the lash bonding point. Choose between the Aura UV or Halo LED version.
Both systems are designed for professional lash artists.
2. What is the difference between Aura UV and Halo LED lash lights?
2. What is the difference between Aura UV and Halo LED lash lights?
The main difference is the wavelength of light used to activate compatible lash adhesives.
Aura UV operates at a nominal wavelength of 395 nm and produces a visible purple glow.
Halo LED operates at a nominal wavelength of 405 nm and produces white-appearing illumination.
Both systems require compatible adhesives, appropriate eye protection, and correct curing procedures. Neither should be considered automatically safer based on light colour alone.
3. Are UV/LED lash extensions better than traditional lash extensions?
3. Are UV/LED lash extensions better than traditional lash extensions?
UV/LED lash extensions offer an alternative curing method to traditional lash adhesives, which rely primarily on moisture in the surrounding environment to polymerize.
With a compatible UV/LED system, the lash artist activates the adhesive using controlled light exposure. This can offer greater control over when curing occurs.
Results depend on proper application, adhesive compatibility, and aftercare. Neither method guarantees better retention or eliminates the possibility of allergic reactions.
4. Are UV/LED lash extensions safe?
4. Are UV/LED lash extensions safe?
UV/LED lash systems require appropriate equipment, protective measures, and professional training.
Safe operation depends on factors including the lamp's measured light output, wavelength, exposure duration, positioning, and suitable eye protection.
PüRE Luma™ systems are intended for trained lash professionals who follow the equipment manual, client screening procedures, and manufacturer safety instructions.
5. Can clients have an allergic reaction to UV/LED lash adhesive?
5. Can clients have an allergic reaction to UV/LED lash adhesive?
Yes. UV/LED lash adhesives contains cyanoacrylates and other ingredients that can cause irritation or allergic reactions.
Although light curing changes how the adhesive is activated, it does not make the adhesive allergy-free or guarantee suitability for clients with previous adhesive sensitivities.
Always review client history, contraindications, and product ingredients before treatment. Patch test is recommended for those who have had reactions before to lash glues.
6. Do I need to be a certified lash artist to use the PüRE Luma™ systems?

11. Can clients get their UV/LED lash extensions wet immediately?
11. Can clients get their UV/LED lash extensions wet immediately?
When the adhesive has been fully cured according to the manufacturer's instructions, clients generally do not need to observe the same initial water-avoidance period sometimes recommended for traditional lash adhesives.
Clients should still cleanse their extensions regularly using a lash-safe cleanser, avoid excessive rubbing, and follow their lash artist's aftercare recommendations.
